Cultivating a Dialogue with Life

  It is essential to make your relationship with Life personal. That is the name of the game. Rather than outsourcing your energy to other people, things, or ideas, you reclaim the fundamental relationship back between you and Life. You begin to shift your dependence from the many to the One. There is only One that you are actually dependent on anyway. When everybody and everything else disappears, which it will, all you are left with is your relationship to your own existence. In Yoga, we call this the Adi Dharm , the primary relationship, the first and eternal duty of any Yogi. Once you have established such a relationship with Life that you no longer need to get anything from anything or anyone outside of yourself, you have become independent. Any good relationship thrives on good communication , so to nourish this relationship with Life it might be a good idea to start talking to it. The Power of the Mind: Thinking and Abiding

  Thinking is a really powerful thing to be doing. If we realised how powerful it was, we’d do it differently. Your mind will shape itself around your deepest desire . It will form itself around what you think about the most. Your body will then take the shape of your mind. From there your life will shape itself around your mind and your body. This is how we create our own existence. That is the power of thinking . This is why it is important to bring awareness to our thinking. Start treating thinking like an activity you have a say in. Be aware of the distinction between thinking and thought . Thoughts aren’t an activity, they just go on by themselves. Thoughts have no real power until we decide they have power by linking up with them and starting to think. Thinking is the action of engaging with thoughts and perpetually re-energising them .
